A romantic retreat. As long as you can build a fire with all the provided wood you will have the most amazing time. Total privacy. Will be a challenge for mobility issues because you have to cross stones over a small stream & steps to get to the compost loo at the top of the hill. A hot water tank that is heated by the wood burner which stays hot 1Read more2 hours. Enough water to have 2 baths in the outdoor tub. The bed is comfy. Access to a fridge & charger. Fire pit lovely. Candles/oil lamps. 10/10 Hide

My husband and I loved our stay. It was just amazing! The perfect place for us to relax and spend some quality time together for our 22nd wedding anniversary. Totally off grid. We stargazed (me from the hot tub!) then I took a bath, fantastic experience! The whole weekend was magical. Will definitely have to visit again!
Joanne

Simple perfection. A truly magical experience hidden away in the woods, and one that we will cherish forever - our favourite place we've stayed in the UK. It offers a chance for you to revert back to your primal roots and reconnect with nature. You cannot fault this place; we loved it's proximity to Hay-On-Wye, the build design and interior decor, Read morethe luxury comforts even though you're off grid and how fire is everything; warmth, light, your oven and bath. We did not want to come back to reality. Hide
Debbi
Quite possibly the most romantic cottage I have ever stayed in. Everything was just perfect from start to finish. The location is totally off grid and it felt like heaven to be away from reality for a weekend. A Magical stay.
Jessica
Fantastic off the grid property. Ultimate relaxation in the outdoor bath and wood fired hot tub. Nestled in the woods next to a trickling stream - a real magical experience x
Cerys
Ty Bach is the perfect place to reset, recharge and relax in the stunning scenery of Wales. You quickly adapt to the rhythm of the cottage and living off grid, we have come home utterly in love with the Begwyns and beautiful Ty Bach. I don't think I have ever enjoyed a holiday as much.
James
The place was faultless, very happy with our stay.
Joanne
This was our third stay here which I think says it all! A lovely place to relax and unwind and perfectly located to enjoy the local countryside
Geraldine
The cottage is located on the owners farm but away in a corner in between trees so you really do feel completely private. We spent a weekend flitting between the jacuzzi and the sofa in front of the fire reading books and didnt leave the place at all. It was heaven. The compost loo certainly takes some getting used to (the breeze!!) but not too badRead more. Otherwise it has everything you need for cooking and all towels etc. We are planning our next trip to this special place. Hide
Sarah
Amazingly peaceful Ladders to bed steep, limited head room upstairs
Andy

I really wasn't sure what to expect and had a few worries knowing that there was no gas or electricity but all I can say is WOW!! What a beautiful place to stay. You really feel that you are the only people around. Wales is so beautiful and here you can forget everything and just enjoy each others company. Looking up at the stars whilst in a hot tu b to watching wild life, it is stunning. So highly recommended.
Bruce
This is a very special little cabin in a beautiful setting! It is off grid but has everything you need to be comfortable and even enjoy some incredible luxuries like a hot bath or hot tub outside under the stars. Just a wonderful place to spend time, slow down and connect with the land and people around you.
Lukan
I have stayed in a lot of cottages and cabins around the U.K. - I have to say, for a couples retreat Ty Bach was absolutely stunning. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel really comfortable. Whilst on the grounds of the farm, Ty Bach is so secluded and private. The scenery is stunning and the stream through the garden is gorgeous to fall asleep to. Dont be afraid of the off grid nature, it was so nice not looking at a phone for 3 nights! It is so well equipped too! Big thank you to Sarah!
Laura
Absolutely stunning cottage, the cosiest luxurious place weve ever been too , 100% going back next year!
Eleanor
The best place to visit if you just need to get away! We stayed for our mini moon and it was the only place that stood out and when we got there the place was just perfect everything is amazing! The stars I have never seen so many, the hot tub was insane and the wild life was always around (squirrels). The owners are so lovely too they would do any thing for you. Would recommended this to anyone we cant wait to go back.
Rachael
The cottage was completely wonderful, incredible setting and so, so cosy.
