We had an absolutely lovely stay at the lodge. Super comfy and with really good well thought out equipment and facilities. The hot tub was a joy after mountain biking and hiking and a chilly dip in Keepers pond. I cannot recommend this lodge highly enough. Stylish, clean with wonderful floor to ceiling windows to watch the birds. Glorious.
Julia
The lodge feels away from it all in its secluded glade, however it is very close to lots of facilities. At night it's very quiet and restful. The views are great and we enjoyed watching the squirrels being very cheeky. :) The hot tub is great too. The owners are responsive but discreet.

Great little hideaway for a walking, cycling holiday. Loved our time spent there, cabin was lovely and warm and just perfect for what we wanted. Great find! Happily stay there again
James
Great property in an ideal location for exploring South Wales. Property is well equipped and certainly doesn't have the typical lodge/cabin feel. There is limited storage space, however this is just about manageable for short stays. Although it shares land with the owners, there is still a feeling of privacy due to the layout etc.
Sally-Ann
Lovely location, comfortable cottage. Very helpful owners

A great little hideaway. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. We did a lot of walking so a soak in the hot tub was a luxury for tired feet & legs. The owner supplied a lot of free washing/ dishwasher tabs and there's plenty of drying space at the back of the property. If you like walking there's a lovely route down the canal into the lovely little tow n Abergavenny. All in all, it's really lovely and I would not hesitate to return. The owners were extremely helpful and responsive to any queries

We've just returned from having a fantastic 4 night stay at Limetree Lodge. The accommodation is in a lovely location and although the owners live near by, we were left to enjoy our stay without any interruption. The lodge was immaculately clean and very well equipped. There was plenty of information provided by the owners of places to visit during our stay. It was a perfect way to celebrate my 50th Birthday and we would highly recommend a stay at the lodge to anyone.
Elizabeth
We stayed here over Christmas and it was absolutely perfect. Im used to staying in caravans so always come prepared with dish cloths and salt and pepper etc but this was not necessary here. The lodge had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect for long walks with the dog and everything you need is in walking distance. Even though th is is in the owners garden we never felt like our privacy was compromised. We would definitely visit again.
Ian
Fabulous lodge , with outstanding views from the hot tub and balcony, Everything that you need for a fantastic week was supplied , the bed was really comfortable ,the shower was nice and hot. The cottage was well heated but once you had the log burning fire going you did not require any other heating. The location was excellent for great walks and only a short walk to the village of Gilwern. The hosts had provided plenty of local information they were friendly ,approachable and not intrusive.
Jess
The location of the cottage is superb, lots of walks around and the dog loves them! The village pubs are great and welcoming, the facilities at the cottage are great and well thought out.

Douglas
Wardrobe space would have been nice. The owners were very friendly and always very helpful no matter what. This made for a very comfortable and relaxing holiday which we both enjoyed
Julie
We had the best week. The lodge was beautiful, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The views were like a picture postcard. The owners were really friendly and gracious and although the lodge was in their garden, we didnt feel that our privacy was comprised at all. The location was perfect. Just a short walk from the canal and the shops a nd pubs that Gilwern has to offer and only 5 minutes drive from Abergavenny which was stunning. We visited 4 times during our week.
Karl
The lodge is in a very good location for walking and exploring the area. It is only a 10 minute walk from the Beaufort pub in Gilwern which is excellent for food and drinks.
Zoe
Lime Tree Lodge was a lovely cosy little place sited up the hill across the bridge from the main part of the village. It well located for walks along the canal and old railway line and near to Sugar Loaf Mountain. The hot tub was a lovely end to each days exertions! The local pubs are good for a pint and some pub grub and Abergavenny is an easy bus ride away. Al and Beth were very welcoming and the lodge was equipped with everything we needed for a week away.
Charlotte
Had a lovely holiday here. The property has everything you need (hot tub is a lovely bonus!), is very clean and in a brilliant location. It is situated in the back garden on the owners. However, it is quite private. Definitely recommend.
Claire
Enjoyed a mid week break, the lodge is very comfortable and well equipped. Bed was so big and spacious. The lodge is well situated to explore Brecon Becons and would definitely recommend.
Elaine
We had a lovely week here in February getting out and about walking with our golden retriever. We had some lovely meals at local pubs and enjoyed the cosy lodge with the fire and hot tub! Unfortunately we didn't have great weather but it was lovely to get away and the lodge has everything you need.
Nick
Excellent cottage in a superb location with very friendly owners and locals to help
Thomas
My wife chose this place for our getaway following our wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed for three nights and loved everything about the property. It is situated in the owners garden, but you'd never know as it feels incredibly secluded (in a good way). We didn't use the hottub, but the area looked clean and well maintained. The pro perty was also spotless when we arrived. The property location is also very good, a short walk from Gilvern and easy to drive anywhere else.
Jamie
Unbelievable, we loved it so much and will be back x
Rebecca
A perfect base for exploring the Black Mountains. Lime Tree Lodge had all the comforts of home...and then some (hot tub was a real treat!). Really comfy place to be, with a well-kitted out kitchen for all our self-catering plans. The local area was wonderful...we had such an enjoyable holiday.
Lee

Joanna
We had a lovely stay at Lime Tree Lodge. Everything was well thought out and cosy. The views are stunning and we really enjoyed making the most of the hot tub. We loved our stay and our dog was very content there too.
Geoff
One of the most important things on a holiday is the ccommodtion and, in this case, it ws excellent. The web site description and photographs give you a clear and honest picture of what to expect. Everything had been thought of by the owners so the stay was as near perfect as possible.
